Journaling:
Almighty God, Who has given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech Thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of Thy favor and glad to do Thy will. Bless our land with honorable ministry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion, from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people, the multitude brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endow with Thy spirit of wisdom those whom in Thy name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that through obedience to Thy law, we may show forth Thy praise among the nations of the earth. In time of prosperity fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in Thee to fail; all of which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We're LIVE!!

Photobucket

I am on staff at Scrapbook News and Review ...and am SO EXCITED to announce: We are live!! The site is open, the magazine is up, we are ready for visitors...woohoo!!

For those of you who have not heard of this new magazine, it is the brain child of Caitlyn Koch, aka Katie Scarlett. She has poured blood, sweat and tears into this to make it more than just another ezine...this has a portal based website on the front end- which includes fresh and changing content. There is a forum and galleries- and an absolute slew of new ideas and such. I really could not tell you all- or do it justice. I did want to mention- this is also not a pdf based magazine- it is all online, with print options....which makes for very comfortable reading and navigation!

Anyway- I have a regular column on Faithbooking: A Faith Perspective...and a corresponding blog that will be fresh and dynamic, as well. (I also have another article, this month on the Cuttlebug- In Great Shape is the name).

I want to invite you all to A Faith Perspective. This is the new blog extension of the Faithbooking column which is a monthly feature in Scrapbook News and Review...and I am very excited about it! I am really wanting this to be a fun, dynamic, and useful place to come and learn, share and develop our faithbooking skills. Please, do come by and take a look- we would love to have you!!

The GREAT Aunts

Photobucket

This week's challenge at Faithsister's is religious heritage. This is a great topic- I hope everyone jumps in and gives this one a try!! (On a side note, this was my submission for the My Sketch World DT Call).

Journaling: Grandma Furber's mother was one of four sisters- what an amazing group of women! Of these four women, 3 went on the mission field in extremely 'forward' positions. One of these women went to Africa, one to South America, and Bernice spent 35 years working in India with the 'least of these'. What an inspiration these women have been to me, years after they have gone home to be with Jesus. May I obey, as they did. May I serve, as they did. And, oh, may I not forget their Godly example!

Materials:
Paper: Making Memories, Deja Views, Bo Bunny
Buttons, Chip: Making Memories
Flowers: Prima, silk
Pearls: Crystalized Stickers
Digital: Rhonna Ferrer, web clipart
Brad, chip: Spare Parts
Letters: Basic Grey
Ribbon: Offray
Misc: Lace, staple, DMC Floss, ink

WOO-HOOOO!!!!!

I am so excited, I simply had to share my news....I have made the design team over at Scrapbook Express. YEAH!! This is a great online store, featuring the latest and greatest in the scrapping world- at REALLY nice prices. I also liked the fact that she has really reasonable sipping rates- a flat 5.95, with over 75$ shipping free. Now, that's not bad! There is also an active and very friendly board filled with fun, challenges, advice, and games. Come take a look!

Anyway, the new team is named Expressive Divas...which made Carrie laugh. She swears I've been a diva for years, this just made it official. Too Funny! This is an incredible group of talented ladies, and I am so honored to have been chosen. Oh, I cannot wait to get started!
