Worship

This really isn't the best picture- but I have been having a great time scrapping my favorite songs, and wanted to show you. Scrapping songs? Yup. You see, I love to sing during my private time with the Lord, and so a song book comes in handy. Let's face it, He may not get tired of the same song everytime, but I do, lol! Anyway, I have scrapped several of my favorites to make them look pretty, and then just added them to my prayer journal. Nice and Handy! This is so fun- you really should give it a try...

Can We Help?

I died laughing...we pulled out the Christmas decorations, this year, and our boys were all over it! I am sure they just wanted to help!!

This one features the fun Craft Fair line from American Crafts. The second and fourth strips are embossed with Studio G $ stamps and white embossing powder for a fun look. I also added strips along the botoom and top using my new Fiskars Apron String punch. Fun!

April is up!!

The April Issue of Scrapbook News and Review has published- and it is better then ever!! The list of things in it...just by title...was a word document 8 pages long- yup EIGHT pages!!! If that does not tell you what an amazing magazine- and amazing value this is- I don't know what will!!

But, I will tell you this: There are 14 articles in the Card/Stamping Section. That includes 3 tutorials, 2 product reviews, an incredible Guest Card Maker....and more eye candy than you can shake a stick at!

WAIT- did someone say Guest Card Maker? Yes, sirree!! This month, SNR is pround to be joined by Amy Sheffer. Amy is a Design Team member for Our Daily Bread, My Favorite Things and Verve Stamps. Her style is rich, and simply amazing!! Best of all- she has made a couple of stunning cards just for our readers!!

I am also super excited about another new addition to the magazine- Kit Clubs. Beth Root is heading this one up- and it is a monthly review of all the best and most fun kit clubs a vailable anywhere. Always been curious about what comes in the box? Head on over to SNR and check it out!

Scrapping Cents

Do you love the look of Glimmer Mists but hate the idea of spending $7 a bottle? Me, too!! I found this solution, and it works like a charm:

-Go to WM and get a little travel size hirspray bottle for 97 cents.
-Add ink color- distress reinkers, alcohol inks, whatever...
-Add perfect pearls or pearl ex- just a little goes a long way.
-Add a little hairspray (yea, it is a sealer)
-Shake and spray...voila!

Yup, for a fraction of the cost, you can make your own custom colors. Cool, huh?!

Scrapping Cents

Are you ready to make a few Easter Treats? Worried that you don't have the perfect stamp in your collection to make a great project? No worries! Today, I am bringing you a few digital stamp collections. What is a digital stamp, you ask? Simply an image you print from the internet/computer onto cardstock, color and add to your project. In some cases, the digital stamps are meant for this purpose- in other case, these are color pages. You can print the color pages full size and hand them to your kiddos---or make them a coloring book to add to their Easter basket. Or- you can tell your printer to print at 20-25% scale- and you are ready to add to your project. Here you go- have fun!

Basic Goodness...

One of my new favorite things is to use fabrics on cards and layouts. You know you can run them through your manual die cut machine, right? Oh yeah- they come out beautifully...though tighter weaves do tend to fray less. This flower was made with a Szzix die and som canvas...don't you just love the texture?! I also used some Basic Grey Sugared for the paper in this...I love that collection- so much lushness!
