"For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant." Heb 9:15
Easter is coming, and with it, rememberences of Christ's sacrifice for us. Sacrifice- now there's a word we just don't hear very often, anymore. We don't sacrifice, we buy, grow, add things to our collections. We rarely do without much, do we?
This week, your challenge is to think of something you have sacrificed in the past, or are willing to sacrifice now. Not forever, but how about a season? It's Lent, it's the perfect time for a sacrificial rememberance. Consider scrapping a page, adding a page to your art journal, or writing out a prayer that dedicates this sacrifice to God and His glory.
You might be suprised at how much giving up something can add to you.
