Happy Feet

Ever have one of those layouts you can NOT get to come together for you?  I hate that!  I looked at this layout and fussed over it for 3 weeks.  Yup- 3 weeks, before I got it to a point I liked.  The paper if Fancy Pants, and just so fun...I really wanted to play that up!  I added a ton of stickles, doodled, added things here and there...in the end, it was the flowers and butterfly that ended up being my final touch.   Ah...I love it when it finally comes together!!

This one is DT work for Scrapbook Express- the team is featuring Fancy Pants all month.  Be sure to stop by our gallery for more Fancy ideas!!

Our House

I have seen layouts built on clear backgrounds- and always wanted to try one.  I finally gave in, and gave it a go---what do you think?  This one was built on a Hambly Transparency with a soft white grid- perfect for the winter theme.  I also used the winter line from October Afternoon for the papers and letters.  But, do you see the stamps?  Take a look- they're there!  I used the scalloped frame from Apple Blossom Studio for the picture frame, and the candy cane from ABS as one of the border strips.  Love 'em!!

Scrapping Cents

How about a freebie?  Who doesn't love a freebie, I ask you?!  I found the most incredible site for digital downloads.  There freebie section is packed with goodness.  Now, even if you are not a digital scrapper- I'm not- digi'd are great for photo ovrlays, journaling cards, paper for printing, etc.  I keep a whole folder on my drive, and when I am ready to scrap- it is ready for me!  My current favorite is overlays, BTW.  Just drop an edge around a photo, print- and you have an incredible look.  Want an example?  Take a look at the Say Cheese post a couple of days ago- this pictre has a great sparkle overlay...that I punched up even more using stickles.

Digital Scrapbooking Place

Scrapping Cents Sightings:

Mike's:  Run, don't walk!  They have the coolest stuff in their dollar bins!!  Now- be warned- they are hiding them...look for an aisle called more for under $5...there is an entire section of nifty scrapping goodness.  I walked away with great shaped chip albums- circle and square scallops, star, heart, house and car shapes. Too cute!!  There were all kinds of embellishments, papers, etc.

Drink

With the Scrapping in the New Year contest at Scrapbook Express, I have been pulling out a lot of past pictures. Fun!! I am loving getting to scrap my favorites. These are a few of my favorite waterfall pictures. I was playing with slowing the shutter speed down to make the water look more fluid. I was so happy when these shots turned out the way I want. Speaking of playing, I have also been playing with adding fabric to my layouts. I love the texture it adds!!

Say Cheese!

Ever notice how little inhibitions children have around cameras?!  They LOVE them!  And I love the way this shot turned out!  I had a great time with this layout from beginning to end.  I added a few digital effects to the photo...and then added stickles to the photo, as well.  I also added a bunch of punched flowers and leafs to the paper for depth.

Planted

Ever have one of those layouts that just 'work'? I LOVE this layout- it is seriously on my short list of favorites. Love the paper- KaiserCraft- YUM!! But, I also had a great time making the trees. I have been playing with fabric, lately. These are made with the qk nesting flowers dies, and are burlap and canvas run through my cuttlebug. Then I just handcut some corderoy for the trunks. I love, love them!! Oh- see my new label Nesties? Sis got them for my birthday...I love my Sis!!

Love the paper, too? Scrapbook Express has it in stock!

Many

I took this picture on a walk with the kids...and it just reminded me so much of the verse that talks of 'if a seed dies, it produces many'.

This features the incredible Beautiful Life line from Bo Bunny. I adore this line!! Got it when it first came out, and couldn't wait to use it!! Remember to get the die cut sheet when you order...these are just so pretty!!

Oh- and this layout was a collaboration. See the torn edge on the top? My cat decided it needed a little something, and added that torn edge. My cat got yelled at! But, between you and me- I think he was right. Don't tell, though...he'll get ideas!

Scrapping Cents

This is the most incredible...brilliant idea. I saw it, I had to share!! I found it on Jennifer McGuire's blog. It was sent in from Jess:

Great tip on clear stamp storage:"I'm not an organizing guru but...I also store my clear stamps in a binder just like yours. I can't afford to go out and buy page protectors that have different sized inner compartments. I made mine with the sewing machine. I sew a zizag stitch either splitting the plain old 8 1/2 X 11 page protector in 1/2 or in 1/4. Then I use a pair of sharp scissors to open up the lower compartments. It works great." - Jess

Doing this, you could also modify sheets to store your manual dies- like qk and Cuttlebug. You could make your own sticker and Chipboard storage. You could even make a customized sheet set for your journal spots! I LOVE it!!

Acrylic Frame

Ready for a really simple project? And this one is really fun, too!! I took a simple piece of acrylic from HL, and stamped snowflakes all over it in Stayzon White. Then I glittered the heck out of it...all the edges have glue literally poured on and running down the sides...then glitter over that. Then, I pieced a very simple felt snowman...too cute!!

Noel Wall Hanging

Still in the Christmas mood, here. And, still loving that BG Wassail!! I Tell you, my Christmas decorations are a walk though BG's Christmas inventory, lol!! They are just my favorites.

This wall hanging is a combination of a noel letter set from Plaid, and an old picture I had laying around. I decorated the inside of the frame. Then, I Modged each letter, and added goodies to the. A little hot glue, and voila!
