"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8
Want to know the verse I am hating right now? OK, maybe hating is the wrong word. Struggling with, right now? Micah 6:8. Oh, it may sound innocent enough. It's even a little poetic. But have you considered it? Even tried to apply it to your life? To act justly: ok, to be fair. Not too hard. To love mercy: I have to confess, I think I like justice a little more. Be fair, don't most people? We like to see the bad guy get what's coming to him. Until we realize that we are the bad guy, then it get's a little easier to be grateful for mercy, doesn't it.
The part I have really been working through, though, is the last one. Walk humbly. Yeah, that one is misleadingly easy sounding. Put my own pride, desires, ambitions, and goals away, and walk humbly with my God. Understand that it is not by my power, my competence, or my gifts that anything of value is accomplished, but by the gifts of God, through the yielding of my own will that the Spirit is allowed to work through me. That one packs a punch, I tell you. Do you think we will ever get that one mastered?

Flowers for You
Here is another card I made for the SNR Spring into Summer Event. This one features a Magnolia stamp, and the fun new smooches from Clearsnap. These are a hoot to work with, I tell you. They come in the cutest little nail polish bottles, and the applicator is a dream to work with. It is the perfect size for really getting into those small areas.
Here's a tip for you: When coloring with Smooches, start from the inside of the image, and work your way towards the edges. This will help you to avoid smudges and glopping ink over the lines.

Worship
This really isn't the best picture- but I have been having a great time scrapping my favorite songs, and wanted to show you. Scrapping songs? Yup. You see, I love to sing during my private time with the Lord, and so a song book comes in handy. Let's face it, He may not get tired of the same song everytime, but I do, lol! Anyway, I have scrapped several of my favorites to make them look pretty, and then just added them to my prayer journal. Nice and Handy! This is so fun- you really should give it a try...

Chosen
Time to show you another project using my Apple Blossom Studio Stamps. this one uses 2 stamps- the scalloped oval in the background, and the tag on the front. such fun ways to use these versatile stamps!! The Challenge word for this week was chose/choose- I confess, I changed it to chosen. I lpve the idea that we are chosen by the God of the universe--how cool is that?!!!

Live
Just a quick post and then I am off for the day...literally!! We are closed, and we are going shopping- woo-hoo!! So....For the word this week, I chose a 'motto', more or less. This is actually part of a verse, and was used in reference to Christ. I have decided to make it a life prayer, however. "I have come to do your will, oh Lord," HB 10:7 I tell you what- it's just not a bad mantra.... You guys have a great day, and a blessed holiday!!

Grace
OK- I am starting with this one- but only cause I got a bit behind. Was crazy busy last week with other project...but will have to wait to show you most of those, deign team- *wink*- stuff.
For this card, I DOVE into the fun new Animal Crackers line from Making Memories. You may remember, I won a package of these yummies during CHA. This is just too cute- and fun to play with! I chose the verse: "For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast," Eph 2:8-9

and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight." Prov 3:5-6

Change...
OK- so this one is a bit late, lol...I confess, it's been done for a few days now- but this week was just insane. Note to self *keep in mind, preschool teacher, here*- when counting down for a 100 day of school party, do make sure it is not going to fall the same week as another major party....oh, say...VALENTINE'S DAY!! 2 parties, one week= very crazy children!!
This one used MME Paper, MM lace, buttons and flowers, and Scrapworks tag. The verse: "God is not man, that he should lie, nor a son of man that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and then not fulfill?" Is 40:8

Beauty
Well, I finally got this one done and posted- just as the new Challenge is about to be posted, lol! Busy week!
Anyway, the word for the week was beauty- and the moment I saw Karma's wonderful word art, I knew I had to use it...it is my life verse, after all!!
Verse:
"One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to seek Him in His Temple,"
Ps 27:4
The Message says it this way: I'm asking God for one thing, and only one thing: to live with Him in His house my whole life long.
I'll contemplate His beauty,
I'll study at His feet."
(Praise God for the privalage of studying at the feet of the One who wrote the Book!! Wow- what an awesome thought! What and awesome Birthright!)

First Scripture Challenge Card
This was the first week of the Scripture Challenge- yeah!! After waiting so long, it is great to finally get to it! The word for this week is: faith. I chose the verse: "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all," Is7:9b God is talking through Isaiah to a king who had inquired of Him. tThe question was should I attack the enemy, and God said yes- but, if you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all. Roughly translated: If you do not believe you have won the victory- you HAVE NOT won the victory! I LOVE it!!
I used a jumbo playing card, and my DCWV Nana's Kids stack and chpboard. Threw in a couple of buttons, too. Fun!
