OK, I admit it--I am in love with this cute owl paper from American Crafts. Yes, you have seen it in a few other things- but, dang! It's just too cute. My other new love affair? Glossy Accents. Seriously. This suff is great- for this card, I covered the 2 in it. And, see those cute little brown brads? Nope- they are little hole punched circles from brown cardstock, and a drop of glossy accents on top. Voila- and, you really would think they are brads in person, too. Did you know that GA makes an excellent glue, too. My handle came off my wood handle sponge ink applicator. :-( 2 drops of GA, it was set in like 5 minutes! Lumpy stuff for you layouts? GA, baby! Yeah, I know... I am starting to sound like an infomercial...I'll stop. But, I did tell you I loved the stuff, lol!!

Flowers For You
I made this card for the Scrapbook Expresss blog- and really like the way it came out. The white is embossed with my Swiss Dots folder...then I masked a Unity stamp to get just the stems and leaves. A simple set of Bazzill Bitties and a ribbon- and it is a lovely card. I love cards that will work for many different occassions, too!!

Scrapping Cents
OK- can't take credit for this one...all Mom's ideas. You know, every once in a while, she just has a good one, lol! Anyway- her suggestion--need wrapping paper and don't want to buy a whole pack? Dive into the scrapping supplies! Those 12x12 papers will work for many smaller boxes- and you can get them for a great price on sale. Um, yeah- Mom doesn't know about the hoards and stashes of older paper that we are trying to get rid of!! Great use for the older stuff, huh?
Now, I just want to know what Mom was dong in a scrapbook store without me?!

Worship
This really isn't the best picture- but I have been having a great time scrapping my favorite songs, and wanted to show you. Scrapping songs? Yup. You see, I love to sing during my private time with the Lord, and so a song book comes in handy. Let's face it, He may not get tired of the same song everytime, but I do, lol! Anyway, I have scrapped several of my favorites to make them look pretty, and then just added them to my prayer journal. Nice and Handy! This is so fun- you really should give it a try...

Can We Help?
I died laughing...we pulled out the Christmas decorations, this year, and our boys were all over it! I am sure they just wanted to help!!
This one features the fun Craft Fair line from American Crafts. The second and fourth strips are embossed with Studio G $ stamps and white embossing powder for a fun look. I also added strips along the botoom and top using my new Fiskars Apron String punch. Fun!

Do you love the look of Glimmer Mists but hate the idea of spending $7 a bottle? Me, too!! I found this solution, and it works like a charm:
-Go to WM and get a little travel size hirspray bottle for 97 cents.
-Add ink color- distress reinkers, alcohol inks, whatever...
-Add perfect pearls or pearl ex- just a little goes a long way.
-Add a little hairspray (yea, it is a sealer)
-Shake and spray...voila!
Yup, for a fraction of the cost, you can make your own custom colors. Cool, huh?!

Are you ready to make a few Easter Treats? Worried that you don't have the perfect stamp in your collection to make a great project? No worries! Today, I am bringing you a few digital stamp collections. What is a digital stamp, you ask? Simply an image you print from the internet/computer onto cardstock, color and add to your project. In some cases, the digital stamps are meant for this purpose- in other case, these are color pages. You can print the color pages full size and hand them to your kiddos---or make them a coloring book to add to their Easter basket. Or- you can tell your printer to print at 20-25% scale- and you are ready to add to your project. Here you go- have fun!

Basic Goodness...
One of my new favorite things is to use fabrics on cards and layouts. You know you can run them through your manual die cut machine, right? Oh yeah- they come out beautifully...though tighter weaves do tend to fray less. This flower was made with a Szzix die and som canvas...don't you just love the texture?! I also used some Basic Grey Sugared for the paper in this...I love that collection- so much lushness!

Imaginations at Work
I love this picture of the kiddos hard at 'work'...it is always fun to see them with their brows all scrunched up, just enjoying the creative process. Interesting sidenote- I have them all completely addicted to my scrapbboking supplies. They just get totally excited when they see me bring down one of my 'toys' for them to play with, lol.
This layout uses the Fancy Pants All Fall Collection. If you are looking for the latest Fancy goodness, be sure to head on over to Scrapbook Express!

Yum!!
How bout a yummy post, for today? doen't this one just scream summer? Definitely needed that, today- I am so tired of grey skies, lol! This shaped card was a blast to make...I used Making Memories Garden Party for the rind, and a fun pink card for the inner. A little versamark pen added some needed shading for this- and we have a fun greeting!

Plane 'Ol Hi!
Today, I have a fun airplane card to share with you. I love the felt added to this for the cloud. What makes this fun, though, is the paper piecing.
I found this jet image as a color page on the web. Scaled it to 20% of normal size and printed it 3 times: Once on the gear paper from Cogsmo Cricket, once on the Red paper from Cogsmo, and once on regular white card. Now, a simple matter of cutting the pieces apart, assembling jigsaw style, and I have a fun, multi dimensional card! I would encourage all of you to go looking for 'digital stamps' in the thousands of free color pages available on the net. For more on hybrid card making, check out the March issue of Scrapbook News and Review coming out March 21st. We have an entire article of ideas in the card section!!

100 Days
Every year, my kids count down the school days until we get to 100. Then we have a 100 days party...where we count to 100 for everything...all...day....long! 100 snacks in each baggie. 100 diecuts on our poster. 100 jumps at excersise time. You get the idea.
This Bo Bunny paper was perfect for this, though. Looking for it? Scrapbook Express has it in stock.
PS- This year one of the kids had the brilliant idea to count back from a 100. So, watch for our 'un-100' day party, sometime this summer, lol!
